2018 Seminar Day

Last years’ seminar was held on December 6th at Cirkus in Stockholm. With a history that dates back to 1892, and its
beautiful surroundings and vicinity to the city center, we could not have been happier to invite our participants and
student audience to this unique location.

We were also immensely proud to present Ulf Danielsson as last years’ guest lecturer. Ulf Danielsson is a professor
theoretical physics at Uppsala university. In his research, he explores whether string theory can answer fundamental
questions about our universe; Is it only a small part of a much larger multiverse? How do we explain dark matter? In
addition, he is engaged in reaching out to the public, sharing his curiosity and knowledge about our universe. He has
published several popular science books – his latest book “Vårt klot så ömkligt litet” describes the history of planet Earth
and the effects of climate change. He has also given numerous popular science lectures on television, radio, and even in
theater! Ulf Danielsson is also a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
